Disaster happens no matter
how much we all try to avoid it.
That's why EtherSpeak provides Disaster Recovery
solutions which keeps your business phones operating by
providing backup phone lines through the internet (SIP)
or other means. Got your interest? Keep reading..
Our Disaster Recovery (DR) falls into two categories:
Businesses who use POTS and those who
use SIP as their primary lines. We explain
below:
Disaster Recovery for POTS
Disaster Recovery for POTS is designed for people who use
regular POTS (plain on telephone service) for their primary
phone lines. In the event of a loss of connectivity, EtherSpeak
will automatically reroute incoming calls to alternate call
paths.
These alternate call paths are pre-configured in our systems
and can be cell phone numbers, other phone lines, other
office numbers, or SIP trunks which run over the internet.
Once your connectivity is restored, the Disaster Recovery
service is automatically removed and routed back to their
original call paths.
Disaster Recovery for SIP
We call this our Redundancy
Service called RedundaTrunk. This is the same in concept
to the above DR for POTS, but in this case, it is the users
SIP connection which has been damaged.
In the event of a loss of connectivity, EtherSpeak can
reroute calls to cell phones, POTS lines, or other SIP trunks
which are still live (such as another office location).
